Round Table Italia in Nemi (Rm)
Nemi's narrow, medieval streets lead down to a volcanic crater lake:through the centuries, the locals created a legend saying that emperor Caligula had built two luxurious barges to host treasures ... which eventually were sunk by Caligula's enemies once he had been dethroned.
It all remained a legend until 1929 when italian archaeologists were able to bring Caligula's ships back to surface to study them and to rescue precious relics! Eventually, these 2 ships burnt completely down following to a fire at the end of WWII ...
However, Jacopo Poli contributed to bring some gold back to Nemi for the 20th edition of Round Table Italia, on the 16th of February 2012 at hotel "Diana": in fact, he introduced Cleopatra Moscato Oro to the locals... you bet they were more than relieved !
