17th edition of "Prima del Torcolato" in Breganze (Vi)
Torcolato passito wine has now been labelled DOC for many years and represents one of the gastronomic higlights in our local area. Vespaiolo grapes are wisely picked during vintage time and then hung from the rafters to dry for several months.
The result is a wine with an excellent warm golden color and sweet flavor, pleasantly persistent, round and thick.
The nearby town of Breganze celebrates every year this wine with a fair held on the main square. The "Prima del Torcolato" took place on the 15 of January 2012 and we were there too to present one of our stronghold, the Grappa Amorosa di Dicembre from Torcolato grape-marc.
